EDISON - A multimillion-dollar judgment has been levied against a company exposed in a News 12 New Jersey Kane In Your Corner investigation.

Earlier this year, Kane In Your Corner received several complaints from unhappy customers who say a company called Roofing Police performed unsatisfactory work, and at times, just took their money and never came back. Customers said the company did business under several different names.

The New Jersey Attorney General's Office has obtained a $7.7 million judgment against the companies and their owner, John Kot, of Garwood.

Kot is also permanently barred from ever owning or managing any company in New Jersey.
