NEW BRUNSWICK - A state judge is scheduled to hear testimony that could affect the upcoming murder trial of a Florida woman charged with killing her 5-year-old son.

An Arizona man has said a man he knew for years described killing a boy in New Jersey under circumstances that are strikingly similar to Timothy Wiltsey's death in 1991.

Michelle Lodzinski is charged with killing the boy, whose remains were found in the spring of 1992.

She has been held on $2 million since her arrest in Florida in 2014.

State Superior Court Judge Dennis Nieves must decide whether to allow the man's testimony at Lodzinski's trial.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin Feb. 16.
