Jorge Deleon, of Trenton, killed in wrong-way crash on Route 29; 2 children injured

TRENTON - A man was killed and his two young passengers were injured during a wrong-way crash in Trenton.

Police say 28-year-old Jorge Deleon was driving north on Route 29 with a 6-year-old boy and 3-year-old girl in his vehicle just before 4 a.m. when they were struck.

Authorities identified Manuel Vazquez Gutirrez, 27, as the wrong-way driver. Charges have not yet been filed.

Police say that Deleon was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The boy was transported to Capital Health Reional Medical Center in serious condition. The girl was transported to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in critical condition.

New Jersey State Police are investigating the accident.
