PATERSON - Joey Torres' new digs at the Paterson mayoral office should be familiar to him, since he's worked there before.

Gov. Chris Christie swore in Torres in front of Paterson City Hall Tuesday.

Torres beat out incumbent Jeffery Jones in the spring election.

He promised voters he would hire more police officers to reduce drug activity and violent crime.

Torres previously served as mayor of Paterson from 2002 to 2010.
