MAHWAH - A champion wrestler and mixed martial arts fighter visited a local wrestling school today to teach kids the mental and physical basics of the sport.

Joe Warren, a wrestling world champion and the owner of two Bellator mixed martial arts belts, put on a clinic at the Apex Wrestling School in Mahwah today. It was his second clinic in three days, with the other one held in Kenilworth.

Warren is from Colorado, but he and Garfield native Damion Logan teamed up in 2001 to form the program. They had been teammates at the University of Michigan.

The aim was to get students to stay focused and always believe in themselves.
