TINTON FALLS - New Jersey's outlet malls were bustling with Black Friday shoppers looking for the best deals.
At the Jersey Shore Premium Outlets in Monmouth County, shoppers looking for bargains showed up as early as 7 p.m. Thanksgiving night.
After battling traffic and fighting for a parking spot, shoppers crowded into stores, just to wait in more lines at the registers.
It's an annual tradition that many say is all part of the season. Shoppers at the outlet malls are finding deals on electronics and clothing at prices that are 50 percent off or more.
"Every year they keep coming out earlier and earlier, so we had a great turnout last night and saw lots of shoppers, lots of bags," says director of marketing Michele Deroian. "So far, so good."
Many customers travel to outlet malls from outside New Jersey.
Black Friday is just the start of a weekend full of deals being offered by retailers across the state.
