Jersey Shore gears up for first holiday weekend of the spring

BELMAR - The owner of D'Jais in Belmar tells News 12 New Jersey he's "giving the old girl a facelift." He says every year "we freshen her up, repair the wear and tear from the summer before."

Other nearby businesses are polishing up as well, with the signs of the summer season emerging at the Jersey Shore. Some families were already on the boardwalk, as many schoolchildren have the week off.

The owner of TR's food court says he stocked up and opened, ready for customers. Rain or shine this weekend, owners are hoping for a good start to the season
