Jersey Shore businesses prepare for start of summer

BELMAR - Business owners along the Jersey Shore are gearing up for the start of the summer season.

Joe's Crab Shack in Belmar is being given a new coat of paint ahead of the summer crowds. Folks at Blue Sky Grille on Ocean Avenue are also racing against the clock to open on time. The new restaurant with a tropical flare makes its debut this holiday weekend.

Public Works employees in Belmar are also hanging flags, cleaning garbage from the beach and making safety repairs.

Business owners say they're just hoping for good weather. Luckily, the forecast is mostly a dry one.
