SEASIDE HEIGHTS - Business owners at the Jersey Shore are saying that the profits made this Labor Day weekend are giving them hope for the future.

Many of the owners say business has been slow since Sandy. One Shore entrepreneur says his numbers have been down 40 percent from last year.

Shore owners tell News 12 New Jersey that the holiday weekend has been encouraging, however. Business owners say success is also relative to the condition of the surrounding areas, and there may be fewer people coming since so many homes are still under construction.
