Jersey City school confirms bed bug problem

JERSEY CITY - (AP) - A Jersey City school that has aconfirmed case of bed bugs says it can't fully exterminate untilschool is out of session.

The Jersey City Board of Education says officials are trying toconfine the critters to the third floor of School 23 on RomaineAvenue. Until school lets out for the holidays, they willdisinfect areas on a spot basis.

Parent George Wendt says his 13-year-old son spotted thebloodsucking bugs in his classroom a couple of weeks ago and toldthe principal right away. His son has since been moved to anotherclassroom.
