Jersey City man critical after shooting

A shooting early this morning in Jersey City left a man in critical condition. Police responded to the Booker T. Washington Housing Complex at 3:15

JERSEY CITY - A shooting early this morning in Jersey City left a man in critical condition.

Police responded to the Booker T. Washington Housing Complex at 3:15 a.m. after reports of gunfire. Residents led police to the victim, who had been shot in the chest.

Witnesses say the man was not shot at the complex, but came into the area looking for help.

He is in critical condition at Jersey City Medical Center.

The victim has not yet been identified.
