Jersey City family thanks firefighters for saving newborn

JERSEY CITY - A Jersey City family is thanking firefighters at Engine 14, Ladder 7 firehouse two weeks after they saved a baby's life.

Dugan and Nicole Gohde were driving their 2-month-old son Gabriel home from his christening party on April 22 when they noticed the child had stopped breathing. Desperate for help, they pounded on the door of the Jersey City firehouse where firefighters administered CPR to the newborn.

Gabriel made a full recovery and is expected to be fine.

"We're eternally grateful for these heroes," said Nicole Gohde.
