A Bergen County school was evacuated after a car crashed into the building.

GARFIELD - A Bergen County school was evacuated after a car crashed into the building.

A Toyota Rav4 crashed into a basement office of the James Madison School in Garfield Friday morning. The school was evacuated as a precaution.

Two gym teachers were apparently inside the office at the time. They were taken to the hospital to be checked out and are expected to be OK.

The driver of the SUV was also taken to the hospital to be checked. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
