JACKSON - Some residents of a Jackson trailer park haven't had water since freezing temperatures caused two dozen pipes to burst earlier this week.

The homes have been without water for five days.

Kevin Tinney, a maintenance worker at Shady Oak Trailer Park, says many of the trailers are empty and don't have any heat. "If it hadn't been minus 12 degrees I don't think we would have had this problem," he says. "This is the first time in 22 years that I've had so many things freezing and breaking."

Some of the pipes have been repaired, but eight trailers remain without water service.

Residents say trying to stay warm in the frigid temperatures this week also made life in this trailer park challenging because some of the trailers are not insulated.
