Jackson Memorial H.S. students mourn sisters' deaths

JACKSON - The Jackson community is reeling after two teen sisters were killed in a car crash yesterday. Jaime Nicholson, 17, and her sister, 15-year-old Francesca Nicholson, were heading north on South Hope Chapel Road when Jaime lost control of her car and crossed the center line in the roadway, police say. The girls crashed head-on into a Mazda MPV driven by a 47-year-old man, who sustained minor injuries.Francesca was pronounced dead at the scene. Jaime was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Police say they believe wet roads and excessive speed both factored in the crash, although the investigation is continuing. Both girls were active members of the color guard at Jackson Memorial High School, while Jaime went to MATES, the Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Sciences. Grief counselors are on hand at Jackson Memorial High School for students and staff.Police: 2 Teens killed in fatal crash in Jackson
