JACKSON - A Jackson man's wallet filled with $1,800 cash was stolen, and he doesn't even want it back.

Rather, William Carlock intended to donate the cash to the residents of nearby Tent City in Lakewood. Carlock says he'd be just as happy for the suspect to donate the money to its intended recipients because he doesn't need the money.

Carlock accidentally left his wallet on the counter of a Dunkin' Donuts in Jackson.

Surveillance video from the store shows a man coming in with his family and leaving with Carlock's wallet.

As winter nears, the money could have been used to purchase supplies and build huts to keep the homeless residents of Tent City warm in the winter months.

Jackson police are still investigating the matter.
