Is your pet loved to death?

MORRISTOWN - Health-conscious pet owners can take their dogs to the Morris Animal Inn, where their dogs can get one-on-one "paw-lades" instruction or trot on a treadmill.

Dogs are also encouraged to swim in the pool, disguising exercise as playtime.

According to the latest estimates, nearly 90 million cats and dogs are carrying around extra pounds that can lead to other health problems. That's half of our dogs and two-thirds of our cats.

Veterinarian and News 12 New Jersey Pet Stop host, Dr. Brian Voynick, DVM, says "When you overfeed your dog or cat, you increase the incidence of osteoarthritis, especially as they get old." He says that their incidences of cancer can also increase, taking years off four-legged friends lives.
