An investigation was conducted early this morning at Point Pleasant Beach, temporarily shutting down the beach for about an hour.Law enforcement officials closed the beach

POINT PLESANT BEACH - An investigation was conducted early this morning at Point Pleasant Beach, temporarily shutting down the beach for about an hour.

Law enforcement officials closed the beach and began searching for something in the sand, combing the area. They were also seen checking trash cans. Some who wanted to hit the sand early were turned away.

A police official assured News 12 New Jersey that their work was not related to a death.
