LAKEWOOD - A school bus company in Lakewood is under fire after a state inspection turned up numerous violations.

State inspectors found Negba Bus Services, located on Ridge Avenue, had 153 violations for several safety issues. Twenty-four of the 30 buses inspected were ordered off the road by inspectors.

The inspections came after the Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) received complaints about Negba buses running late.

An employee of the bus company tells News 12 New Jersey all buses are back in service following the Oct. 12 inspection. However, the MVC can only confirm that 18 of them have been fixed and allowed back on the road.
