ASBURY PARK - The latest victim of gun violence in Asbury Park is fighting for his life at Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Ikee Redding, 29, was shot six times, including once in the jaw, just after midnight on Washington Avenue. Friends say he is currently recovering from surgery.
Acting Prosecutor Chris Grammicioni spoke to News 12 New Jersey from a county-run gun buy-back program that was held today at Shiloh Church. Grammicioni encouraged anyone with information to come forward.

"At the end of the day, we need info," Grammicioni says. "It doesn't mean you'll end up on the stand pointing out someone. It can be anonymous."
Only a block and a half away, 20-year-old Terrell Howard was murdered earlier this summer. Howard was shot and killed while on a bike and was not the intended target, according to officials. Police are still searching for his killer.
The west side continues to be a source for violence in Asbury Park. Police are still searching for the gunman in Friday morning's shooting, but they say Redding was able to identify him.
