IHOP celebrates National Pancake Day by offering free pancakes in exchange for charitable donations

Pancake enthusiasts scrambled to IHOP Tuesday for National Pancake Day. IHOP marked the occasion by giving away free pancakes to diners.

EDISON - Pancake enthusiasts scrambled to IHOP Tuesday for National Pancake Day.

IHOP marked the occasion by giving away free pancakes to diners.

In exchange, the company asks everyone to make a donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

In the Edison area, the money goes to Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside.

IHOP began its National Pancake Day celebration in 2006 and has raised $13 million for charity.
