Identities of 2 injured in Hillsborough plane crash confirmed

HILLSBOROUGH - News 12 New Jersey has learned the names of the two people who were injured when a small plane crashed at Central Jersey Regional Airport in Hillsborough.

A relative of one of the men tells News 12 New Jersey that their names are Stuart Rosenberg and Alphonse Meghnagi.

According to the relative, the men are high school friends and aviation enthusiasts.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the twin-engine Beech 76 landed short of the runway. The crash was first reported just before 12 p.m. today.

Both Rosenberg and Meghnagi were taken to a hospital. Rosenberg is listed in fair condition, while Meghnagi is listed in serious condition.

Central Jersey Regional Airport is located on Millstone River Road, bordering the Borough of Manville.

The FAA says the cause of the crash is under investigation.
