Husband of missing woman charged in connection to death

ABERDEEN - Authorities in Monmouth County say they've charged an Eatontown man with the murder of his estranged wife after her body was discovered near the Garden State Parkway on Saturday.

Officials say 31-year-old Oscar Prior-Ramirez has been hospitalized for undisclosed reasons since 26-year-old Viridiana Beltran Gomez went missing last month.

Family members of the missing mother of two say they've been told by authorities that the body found is believed to be Beltran-Gomez.

The body was found late Saturday afternoon, buried about 100 feet off the roadway near mile marker 119 in Aberdeen. Investigators believe Beltran-Gomez was last seen leaving her job at a Red Bank restaurant on May 12 with her estranged husband.

News 12 New Jersey went along with Beltran-Gomez's family as they visited the site along The Parkway where they were told her body had been buried.
