HOBOKEN - Hundreds of frustrated PBA members and residents came out to protest against cops being cut from the force in Hoboken.

The crowd made its way inside City Hall to bring their case to the City Council. The current plan is to lay off 18 officers and demote 19 officers. One resident protesting said that those getting laid off and demoted are the hardest working ones on the force.

Council members listened to more than three hours of public comment from PBA members and residents.

The layoffs as of now are still slated to go into effect next Friday.
