FREEHOLD BOROUGH - For the second time this month, thousands of residents in Freehold Borough are without power after a fast-moving storm ripped through the town on Saturday.
Jersey Central Power and Light (JCP&L) says that as of 5 p.m. Monday, there are still approximately 1,600 customers without electricity in Freehold Borough. Crews are currently out repairing downed wires and power lines, the utility says.
Some residents say they learned their lesson last year and made sure to be prepared this time by purchasing a generator. To watch extended footage from Freehold, click on iO Extra on Channel 612.
