Hundreds of guns taken off the street in Trenton

TRENTON - Hundreds of guns were taken off the street today in Trenton during a Foods for Guns program.

In all, 214 guns, from illegal sawed-off shotguns to an antique gun from 1862 were handed in for a $100 gift card to Shoprite.

The program was helped by Pastor Darrell Armstrong of Shiloh Baptist Church, who was able to secure gift cards' donation.

Police say that because the program was anonymous, they won't be able to determine if the guns were used in a crime. They say that all the guns will be destroyed.
