Hundreds attend wake of slain Linden teen

LINDEN - Family and friends of 18-year-old Amber Wilson attended her wake tonight two weeks after she was shot and killed in Linden.

The Union County prosecutor says Amber Wilson was walking from a Dunkin' Donuts in Linden with a friend when she was approached, shot and robbed on July 9 on the 500 block of Hussa Street.

She graduated from Linden High School just two weeks before her death. Her aunt says she loved to dance, was a cheerleader and liked to help others.

Wilson's funeral will take place Wednesday at 10 a.m.

No suspect has been named in her killing.
