JACKSON - Hundreds of people turned out today at Six Flags Great Adventure for the opportunity to apply for seasonal work at the park.

While many high school and college-aged people were applying, there were also many older people who have been unemployed for weeks or even months looking to fill one of the 4,100 available jobs.

Six Flags officials say the pay will vary between $7.25, minimum wage, to $14, depending on the position. While many say pay may be lower than what they are used to, they say times are tough.

The park is expected to open in April.
