ELIZABETH - Police in Elizabeth have uncovered what they believe is a huge marijuana growing operation.

The story was first reported on Monday night by News 12 New Jersey. Authorities were called to the home at the corner of Henry and Flora streets when a neighbor reported a massive water leak at the house.

The fire department cut power to the home and the water leak stopped. When a firefighter went around the back of home and looked inside a second-floor window, he reported seeing the marijuana plants.

The operation took up two floors of the house, according to police. Officers seized potted marijuana plants, bales of potting soil, and grow equipment.

Police have not released any information on the owner of the home or how much marijuana was seized.
