LOWER ALLOWAYS CREEK TOWNSHIP - PSEG says that the Hope Creek nuclear reactor in southern New Jersey is expected to be back at full power by late Tuesday morning.

It is currently operating on reduced power while crews try to determine what caused a key pump to shut down.

PSEG says that there were no reports of outages caused by the shutdown. One of Hope Creek's two water recirculation pumps reportedly went offline Thursday afternoon. The pumps recirculate water to the reactor and help control how much power it generates. AP wire services contributed to this report.
