Woodbridge home damaged in overnight fire

A fire broke out overnight in Middlesex County, leaving a home charred and damaged.

The home on Cooper Avenue in Woodbridge was badly burned after flames erupted overnight Friday.

WOODBRIDGE - A fire broke out overnight in Middlesex County, leaving a home charred and damaged.

The home on Cooper Avenue in Woodbridge was badly burned after flames erupted overnight Friday.

Firefighters say they were able to get the flames under control relatively quickly and they have since cleared the scene.

Officials say there were no serious injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
