NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP - A Neptune Township mother is recounting the details surrounding a violent home invasion that left her husband seriously injured with three gunshot wounds.

Katima Wilson and her husband Maurice awoke Friday morning to two armed suspects who broke into their home.

Five of their eight children and their grandmother were also asleep in the home.

They say the suspects demanded cash from Maurice Wilson and stole his safe before opening fire.

The 41-year-old father was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Family members say he's since been upgraded to stable condition, but still suffers from considerable pain.

The family hopes two rewards being offered will help anyone with information about the incident come forward.
