LINDEN - With hurricane season officially beginning on Sunday, Home Depots across the country are helping get people prepared.

The store in Linden is holding an all-day hurricane preparedness program, which includes representatives from the local fire department, Red Cross and other organizations.

The goal of the program is tell people what they need in times of a weather emergency, such as generators, gas cans and power supplies.

The event is being held at the Home Depot located at 701 West Edgar Road in Linden.
