HOBOKEN - Animal cruelty charges were filed against a Hoboken woman who admitted to dropping her boyfriend’s dog out of a window.

It happened at an apartment on the 500 block of Marshall Drive in Hoboken. Police say that Jasmine Briggs, 38, dropped her boyfriend’s young pit bull out of a second-floor window.

The pup broke one of its legs and had to undergo surgery at the animal hospital.

The crime happened Wednesday night. Briggs faces up to 18 months in prison.
