HOBOKEN - Hoboken is under a boil water advisory after two water main breaks in one day.

The first water main break happened at 3 a.m. on Willow Street between Eighth and Ninth avenues, swallowing up a small car.

Hours later, a construction vehicle struck a 30-inch water main a few blocks away, cutting the water supply to nearly the entire city.

Crews were able to isolate that main, which allowed water to be restored to full pressure across the city.

Hoboken remains under a boil water advisory until further notice.
