Hoboken man reported missing during blizzard

HOBOKEN - Hoboken police are searching for a city resident who was reported missing during Saturday’s massive blizzard.

Matthew Genovese, 24, was last seen leaving McSwiggans Pub at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night. The pub is located at First Street and Bloomfield Street.

He told friends that he was going to walk home, and they say no one has heard from him since.

Hoboken police are working with the family to find any leads. Hoboken detectives are out trying to find surveillance video that may have shown where Genovese went.

Genovese is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray Fordham T-shirt, a red and orange flannel, tan khaki pants and tan Timberland boots.

Anyone who may have any information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Hoboken police at 201-420-2100.
