JERSEY CITY - Tomorrow morning marks the first day kindergarten through 8th grade students from the Hoboken Charter School return to classes following a devastating fire that happened on just their 2nd day of school.

On Sept. 6 their school building was seriously damaged by the fire. The administration had to scramble to find a new home and ultimately signed a lease for the former site of St. Anne's School in Jersey City.

Teachers spent most of the morning decorating their new classrooms and preparing to welcome their students back to class.

Parents and members of the community have been donating all kind of classroom supplies to help the school get back on its feet.

School staff members still haven't been able to go inside the original school building. It's unclear whether it will be able to open this academic year.
