HILLSIDE - Dozens of New Jersey post offices could be closing their doors, including both of the post offices in Hillside.

The Union County community's residents would be forced to go to post offices in Irvington or Newark, where Mayor Joseph Menza says that many of his residents feel unsafe going to.

Menza says he'll be asking the postal service to keep the Hillside Avenue post office, even if it means limited hours.

Which post offices will close hasn't been decided yet, but the postal service plans to start shutting doors by January.
