Highland Park honors vets with parade

HIGHLAND PARK - The borough of Highland Park honored military veterans this morning with a parade and ceremony.

The event kicked off at the Doughboy Monument on Raritan Avenue then continued toward George Street and Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick.

The Middlesex County Pipes and Drums Corps, along with several veterans groups and the high school band paid tribute to those who have served our country.

The parade was held in conjunction with the Raritan Valley Veterans Alliance and the city of New Brunswick.
