LAKEWOOD - High winds slammed shore communities in the Garden State Friday, causing severe damage in some areas.

The gusts were so intense in Lakewood that the roof was knocked off at High Point Apartments on Prospect Street. The wind also toppled several large trees.

In Seaside Heights, microburst winds of up to 75 mph rocked fences out of the ground and blew out a window.

Despite the damage, officials say no injuries were reported.
