One person was hospitalized after a helicopter made a crash landing at Linden Airport, officials say.

LINDEN - A helicopter made a crash landing at Linden Airport in Union County Saturday afternoon, sending one person to the hospital.

News 12 is told that the pilot of the Bell B206 helicopter was performing practice landings when the chopper tipped over on its side around 12:30 p.m.

The pilot and a student were on board at the time of the crash. The student sustained a leg injury and was hospitalized. The pilot sustained minor injuries.

The exact cause of the crash is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
