Heavy rains spur flooding, slick roadways across NJ

FRANKLIN - Flood warnings and watches remain in place across the Garden State after heavy rains soaked the state yesterday.

A flood warning remains in effect for Somerset County until 8 p.m.

The storms drenched many areas in several inches of rain, spurring minor to moderate flooding.

Blackwells Mills Road in Franklin Township was one of the hardest hit areas. The roadway remains submerged underwater. News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dan Zarrow says scattered showers and thunderstorms will likely continue until tomorrow.
