EDISON - Uninsured New Jersey residents can enroll in the federally run health care marketplace in two weeks.

The Affordable Care Act kicks in at the end of the year, which means that those without insurance must buy it.

Gov. Chris Christie chose not to set up a state exchange, so New Jersey residents will use the federal website, healthcare.gov. The open enrollment period begins Oct. 1, but residents have until March 31, 2014 to find a plan.

Maura Collinsgru, of New Jersey Citizen Action, says there are 900,000 people in New Jersey without health insurance.
