Harrison Mayor Raymond J. McDonough dies suddenly

HARRISON - The mayor of Harrison died suddenly Wednesday, according to Hudson County executives.

Raymond J. McDonough reportedly suffered a massive heart attack while at work.

The mayor was at Town Hall this morning before going out for lunch. He collapsed after returning to the office.

McDonough was elected mayor in 1995 after serving for 17 years on the town council. He was a lifelong resident of Harrison.
