SOMERSET - New Jerseyans are determined to get their Halloween on this year, after letdowns two years in a row.

Halloween stores like Spirit Halloween in Somerset say business is booming as excitement builds.

Assistant manager Jessica Stephens says the store is selling out of many popular items, since many feel "tricked" out of the holiday. "Two years ago we had the snowstorm," she says. "And last year we had Sandy. "

Halloween-themed stores are hoping for big sales this year. "Hopefully this season we'll see a big boost in the end, usually we do," says district manager Bob Perlitz. "And this year everyone is looking forward to going out and having fun."

Early forecasts are calling for rain, but those who love Halloween say Mother Nature can't scare them off again.
