CLARK TOWNSHIP - Clark Township police are hoping the public can help them identify a team of burglars that has been breaking in to cars in town.

The department released a video of one of the crimes on their Facebook page that shows the thieves approaching a group of parked cars near Wheatsheaf Drive in the morning hours on May 1.

In the video, it appears that some of the cars were unlocked. The thieves are seen rifling through the cars looking for valuables.

Clark Police Chief Pedro Matos says that this isn’t the first time this has happened in town. He says that the group is experienced.

“It certainly was an organized effort on their part that night,” he says.

Chief Matos says that thieves entered 14 cars on three separate streets. He says that there were several similar incidents last year at the beginning of the summer.

The latest incident occurred somewhere between 5:30 a.m. and 7:15 a.m.
