MONMOUTH COUNTY - Last minute shoppers are scrambling to put together Thanksgiving meals for the festive holiday.

Shoppers at Hinck Turkey Farm in Wall Township picked up prepared sides like mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.

The White family of Neptune has opted for a pre-cooked turkey. "As you get to the golden years, you don't always want to do that anymore," says Karen White.

Erika Carr says she likes to cook from scratch and was purchasing produce at Delicious Orchards in Colts Neck. "I'm thinking of having [the turkey] with almonds or mushroom sauce. Every year I change it up," she says.

Aasim Johnson says he couldn't head home from ShopRite in Neptune without completing his list. "I don't know what I'm doing. I was running around for like 20 minutes," he says.

New Jersey's shoppers agree that spending the day with family and friends this Thanksgiving makes the holiday havoc worth it.

According to a survey by the American Farm Bureau Federation, feeding your family will cost slightly less than it did last year.
