BERGEN COUNTY - A new Bergen County prosecutor is expected to be appointed Monday.

According to current Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli, Gov. Chris Christie is expected to appoint Gurbir Grewal as the new prosecutor. Molinelli announced his retirement in November.

Grewal is a prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

If he is appointed, Grewal would be the first Sikh county prosecutor in New Jersey.
