FLEMINGTON - Gov. Chris Christie (R-New Jersey) today announced additional help in the fight against cancer in New Jersey.
The governor announced that the state's Cancer Education and Early Detection program, better known as CEED, will receive an additional $3.5 million in funding.
Gov. Christie made the announcement today while touring the Hunterdon Medical Center's cancer unit.
CEED spends $12 million yearly helping detect, educate and treat cancer patients and their families in low-income communities.
The governor's late mother was a cancer survivor.
