Gov. Christie talks about beach conservation on the sand

This afternoon, Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J) spoke about beach conservation as he soaked up some rays on beach during the kick-off of his Jersey Shore

BELMAR - This afternoon, Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J) spoke about beach conservation as he soaked up some rays on beach during the kick-off of his Jersey Shore walking tour.

In Belmar, Christie said, "There is something really special that's difficult to describe to people who weren't born and raised here about going to the same places with your children as you went to as a child with your parents."

The governor says money for parks and beach replenishment, along with opposition to offshore drilling, show he's committed to protecting New Jersey's billion-dollar coastal economy.
